NETBALL TEAM NEWS

By Tilly, Naomi and Ruby:

On Saturday the 18th of June, the school netball team took part in the Regional Finals in Linclon. There were 9 other teams there, out of 600 schools in the East Midlands.

In the first game was against Ayscoughfee we won 8-4, which was a good start. In the second match we played Bishop Lansdale. It was a really close match, and we had the lead in the first half, but during the second half, they caught up with us, and in the end it was 7-7.

In the 3rd match we played Oakwood. It was a really hard game, but they beat us 13-0.

Finally, in the last match of group stages, we played Donnington and won 9-2. This meant that we had came 2nd in the group stages so we now had to compete in the semi-finals. First we played Saltaford House and sadly lost. Now we were competing for 3rd or 4th. In that match we played Grantham Prep. We won so we came3rd. This meant we were the 3rd best netball team in the East Midlands!

Netball team: Tilly, Isla, Naomi, Jack, Hannah, Kate, and Ruby.

VISITORS TO SCHOOL

It is very important that all visitors to school come in through the front door and report to the school office.  Parents/carers are not allowed to gain access to the school in any other way.  Although it is tempting to cut through school from the field after using the Lidl gate this is strictly not allowed as it compromises the security of the building. Please do not be offended but expect to be challenged about the reason you are in the building as this is part of the safeguarding procedures.

Half way through we opened the doors to anyone else who wanted to join in, we had a great time! More pictures can be found on the school website.  Click here

AMNESTY ON THE RETURNING OF SCHOOL EQUIPMENT

Before we break up for the summer holidays can you please help your children to search for any reading books or any sports kit which belong to school. We will be very pleased to have them back, no questions asked!  The equipment can then benefit other children for years to come.  Equally if you have any books that you are willing to donate to school and you think they are suitable, then please send them in and Mrs Rainford will sort them into their appropriate age range.  Thank you in advance for your help.
