My Name is Miss Waterall, and I am the Curriculum Leader for Science! 

Science is an exciting subject that sparks children's curiosity about the world around them and promotes a passion for exploration and discovery. At Round Hill we ensure that child-led scientific enquiry is at the heart of our lessons. We endeavour to nurture the scientist in each child by providing opportunities to use scientific knowledge, investigation and discovery to help them make sense of the world around them.

At Round Hill we provide children with a challenging and engaging science curriculum that encourages children to be inquisitive.  We believe science encompasses the acquisition of knowledge, concepts, skills and positive attitudes. Throughout their study, the children will acquire and develop the key knowledge that has been identified within each unit and across each year group, as well as the application of scientific skills.  Lessons aren’t just limited to the classroom, we make use of our incredible outdoor facilities including the wild area, field and playground in order to maximise the children's learning experiences.
