05.04.19 Beaumanor Letter

April 2019

Dear Parents/Carers

Year 6 Beaumanor Residential Trip October 2019

We are excited to offer all children who will be in Year 6 as of September 2019 the opportunity to attend a residential trip to Beaumanor Hall in Leicestershire. We have carried out several residential trips to this location which have proved very successful.

The residential trip will run from Tuesday 15th October – Friday 18th October 2019.

During this trip, children will be provided with the opportunity to experience activities such as high ropes, zip wire, bridge building, orienteering, shelter building, climbing and canoeing. These activities are designed to personally challenge the children and their fears, whilst building on their self esteem. The centre provides very memorable experiences for all children who visit.

The cost of the trip is £201 per child. This includes three night’s accommodation, coach transfer, all food and three days worth of exciting activities, including the high ropes which are not available at all residential settings. We feel that this trip offers very good value for money.

If you would like your child to participate but the cost is an issue, the school may be able to offer some financial assistance. This would be in accordance with the school charging policy. If you feel you may qualify, or would like further clarification, please contact the school office or speak to your child’s class teacher.

Should your child wish to take part in the residential trip please could you pay a £25.00 deposit through your Squid account at portal.squidcard.com by Friday 26th April. If you are unsure how to access your squid account, please contact the school office for assistance. Could you also please complete the attached form and return this to school by Friday 26th April. Deposits are non refundable.

Please can the remaining balance of £176 be paid by Friday 27th September. Payments can be made in instalments or in full as chosen by you.

If you require any further information about this trip, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher.

Yours faithfully

Mr A Heaps, Year 5/6 Phase Leader
