Music Tuition

Round Hill has a great musical tradition and there are opportunities for children to join many musical groups including a large choir, a smaller boys’ choir, a recorder club and an excellent orchestra. Whilst the orchestra has re-started following on from Covid-19, we are hoping to re-start the choirs shortly.  These groups perform at our termly concerts, as well as having opportunities to perform in the local community at special events.

Children have the opportunity from Year 4 onwards to receive instrumental tuition on a variety of instruments. Some of these lessons are provided by teachers at Inspire Music whilst others are private tutors who come into Round Hill.  They take place during the school day in groups of 2 or 3 children or children are able to have an individual lesson. The Inspire music lessons are approximately £69 per term for a shared lesson.  This amount is subject to change by Inspire music for the school year 2022-23.

Instruments can be hired from Inspire Music at a cost of £15 per term. Parents need to check that their home contents insurance will cover the instruments.

If your child is in receipt of free school meals then both costs are waived.

We offer tuition in the following;

  • Clarinet, Flute and Saxophone (Inspire Music Teacher)
  • Drums (Independent Teacher)
  • Guitar (Independent Teacher)
  • Keyboard (Inspire Music)
  • Piano (Independent Teacher)
