New Starters September 2020
We look forward to welcoming all of our new families to school. Below you will find information you need prior to your child starting school with us. Please read the 'Welcome Letter' found below which has a link to the Pupil Personal Details Form that you must complete. Please also find below the 'Welcome Pack for Parents'.
You will now have received details of how to access our Virtual Welcome, you'll find eveything you need below. I hope that it provides all the information that you need at this point before your child starts school. Apologies, once again, that this cannot be a face-to-face meeting at this time.
The Welcome Pack provides practical day-to-day information to know what to expect as your child begins school. Please note that this is updated every year to reflect any changes that occur over time. It was accurate at the point of being published this year. However, due to the current pandemic, information and guidance is updated and released from the Government at different times.
You may be aware, that Round Hill School is currently open to all children in Years R, 1 and 6 for four days a week, and to all children of Key Workers five days each week. However, this may change, as we are looking at ways to invite children from all year groups to attend school before the summer. We have a comprehensive risk assessment and many social distancing policies in place and are following government guidelines on this from all aspects.
We are also planning for September and looking at ways to ensure all children are able to access school. This includes our new Foundation children. However, it is impossible to confirm these plans at the moment as things change on a regular basis. Please be assured that we know who our new children are and are really looking forward to meeting you! Information from Pre-Schools is being shared with us, as usual, and the ‘All About Me’ information that you complete for school is invaluable. A reminder to return this to school by Friday 19th June along with completing the Pupil Personal Details Form.
We are hoping to sign all our new families up to ‘Class Dojo’ over the next few weeks. In the meantime, please take a look at https://www.classdojo.com/ to familiarise yourself with things. This will help us to make contact with each parent and child so that we can begin to get to know each other. In the meantime, please share your child’s welcome booklet with them and keep talking about school and their teacher.
Thank you for bearing with us. Your support is very much appreciated. Once we have more information we will be in touch.
We are looking forward to meeting you in September.
We hope you enjoy our EYFS Welcome Video.
