World Book Day - Thursday 3rd March

To celebrate World Book Day this year on Thursday 3rd March any child that wants to can dress up as their favourite book character.. Children could also bring their favourite book into school and talk to their class about it and explain why it is their favourite. We will take photos of the children with their books and put them on display around school.

Gareth Baker - Author Visit and Book Signing

As part of World Book Day, author, Gareth Baker, will be coming to school on Friday 4th March 2016 to work with some of our children.  After school there will be an opportunity for children to meet Gareth in the Entrance Hall at 3:35 PM and buy one of his books

Where in the world are you reading?

Further to World Book Day, children can take part in our "Where in the world are you reading?" competition. Children can bring in photos of themselves reading in different places (rather than just on the sofa!) for example on holiday, or in the garden, in a playground, up a tree! The ideas are limitless, and the more unusual the better! We will add these photos to our school display. Hand the photo to your child's teacher or to Miss Bore (Literacy Leader).

School Photographs yr 1-6

New Governors’ Blog

The Governors would like to give parents, carers and other members of our school community a better understanding of what we do. See more in the Governor News section at the end of this Newsletter.

Did you miss the last Newsletter?

If you have missed any Newsletter you can click here to view them online. Alternatively you can find a copy on the various notice boards around school or ask at the office and they will send you a paper copy.

Reminder - Sainsbury's Active Vouchers

It's that time of year again! Please could you start collecting your Sainsbury's Active Kids Vouchers and bringing them into school.  We really do benefit a great deal from this scheme, through the provision of equipment for playtimes, PE lessons and extra-curricular clubs. The box for the vouchers will be in reception or you can give them to your child's class teacher. Thank you!
