Whole School Information

Harvest Festival Collection

Thank You:  Thank you for your contributions to the harvest display.  The Charity Hope asked me to pass on their thanks.

Parents Evening:  We are looking forward to meeting with you at the first Parent/Teacher Consultation Meeting of the school year on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th November.

Remember there is an electronic system for booking.  More details will follow after half term.

Miss Hewitt:  Congratulations to Miss Hewitt.  We wanted to pass on her good news about the birth of the twins, Hatty and Dotty.

No Nuts in School:  We have had an incident this week, whereby a child has suffered a reaction to some nuts that another child has brought into school.  Please can I remind you that nuts should not be brought into school as we have a number of children with severe nut allergies.

Welcome to Miss Punni:  Welcome to Miss Punni who joins us as the teacher in Hedgehogs class (Mon-Thurs) as Miss Smith starts her Adoption Leave.

Car Park at drop off and pick up:  Our car park at the front of the school can get very busy in the mornings and afternoons.  Please can I remind you to not walk through the car park with your children at drop off or pick up but to use the path near the library.

If you are parking in Lidl or the surrounding area please be considerate of our neighbours and also park only in the spaces provided.  Do not drop off in front of the Lidl gate as this is putting children at risk.

Please pass on the details of anyone endangering children and causing problems.

Messages for Teachers:  If you need to talk to your child’s teacher please can you do so after school rather than in the mornings, when the teachers have more time. The only afternoon the teachers are not available is on a Tuesday when we have a staff meeting. If you ever need to get a message to your teacher in the morning, please use either their organiser or write a quick note.

Individual School Photos:  Photo proofs will be coming home with your child/children today.  If you would like to order any photos, please ensure your order form is returned to school by Wednesday 1st November.  After this date you will need to return the envelope directly to Tempest.

School Menu – changes to first week back:  During our first week back we will be swapping the school meals menu on Tuesday 31st October and Wednesday 1st November.  So, it will be Cheesy Tomato Pasta on the Tuesday and Porkies in Gravy on the Wednesday.

School Menu - Remembrance Day:  We will have a special Remembrance Day menu on Friday 10th November 2017.  This will be Nottinghamshire sausage and gravy or quorn sausage and gravy with mashed potatoes, sliced carrots and garden peas.  The dessert will be a poppy cookie and milkshake.

Vacancy – Midday Supervisor:  We have Midday Supervisor positions available, 5 hrs 25 mins per week.  Please contact the School Office for more details.

Parents’ Forum Feedback:  Thank you to everyone who attended the Parents’ Forum meetings last week. They were really well attended with 20 parents coming along over the two events.

The next termly Parents’ Forum will be in the spring term 24th January.
