Week beginning 8th June

Please choose one task from each subject per day. We would love to see what tasks your child has chosen to do at home, so please send these to your child's class teacher via Class Dojo.

There are also some fantastic daily lessons and activities on BBC Bitesize for all ages and subjects.

English Daily Tasks:

Please see the attachments below for this week's English daily tasks. We have also included a reading comprehension with differentiated questions ranging from 1 star - 3 stars in difficulty, children may choose which level questions they wish to have a go at. You will also find some spelling activities below and phonics activities to complete on Purple Mash.

Reading Daily Tasks:

Please read with your child on a daily basis and ask them lots of questions about the events, characters or facts. There is a sheet with some ideas for questions to ask below.

Maths Daily Tasks:

This week we are looking at position, direction and movement. There are lots of fun practical ways of doing this learning, so feel free to mix these in with the resources below. Take a look at the weekly overview for some ideas.

Topic Tasks:

This week in topic we will be exploring mini-beasts and animal habitats. Explore the Power Point below and find a mixture of activities to enjoy. These include learning about various insects, exploring insects in the garden and making your very own bug hotel using recycled materials and natural resources.

P.E tasks:

Well done to those children for smashing last weeks yoga animal stories. They were awesome! It isn't too late to try out any of our 'at home' activities. Check back through your class stories to explore the challenges.

Circus Circus! Have we got any gymnasts out there? Can you record yourself performing for a virtual circus show? Practice your balancing, cartwheels, jumping, rolling and dancing and use your very special, creative minds to design a video performance. Post these to your Class Dojo and share your talents with your class.

Challenge: Let's learn how to juggle... look out for this weeks P.E video for step one.
