My Beaumanor Kit List Name________________

This list is a guide to packing for Beaumanor. Use it to plan what to bring, and then tick things off as you pack. Please bring your things in a bag or suitcase that you can carry, and have a practice at packing your bag yourself! You will have to pack your own things on the last day. Sleeping bags can be difficult to get back into their bags, make sure you practice this too!

Tops

Waterproof jacket
Warm coat
3 jumpers
2 long sleeved tops…also base layers (Decathlon sell cheaply)
4 t-shirts

Bottoms

1 pair of jeans (for evening activities only)
3 pairs of joggers/leggings
Waterproof trousers

Shoes

Indoor shoes or slippers
Outdoor trainers (these should be robust and preferably lace up, they may and often do, get quite muddy!)
Old trainers / deck shoes / surf shoes for canoeing/walking boots
Welly boots (ESSENTIAL for canoeing)

Basics

Underwear, including at least 6 pairs of socks (thick ones for boots)
Pyjamas
Hat, scarf and gloves, sun-cream
Canoeing clothes…light trousers and a long sleeved top, warm jumper
Plastic bags/bin liner for wet/dirty clothes
Reading book

Overnight kit

Teddy bear (everyone will have one… even the teachers!)
Sleeping bag
Pillow and pillow case
Wash bag with toothbrush and paste, flannel and soap/shower gel and shampoo.
2 x Towels
Torch and spare batteries

Please DON’T bring any electronic toys or game consoles. You won’t be allowed to use them and they might get damaged or lost!

Water bottle and day pack (ESSENTIAL)

You can bring a camera if you want to, but please make sure it isn’t an expensive one as it may get lost or damaged. It would be better to bring a disposable camera rather than a digital one. Staff will take loads of photos.

You can bring a VERY SMALL amount of sweets. If you bring too many, you might lose them to the teachers!!!!!

If you need to bring any medicines, please give them to your teacher in a sealed plastic bag labeled with your name and any instructions.

Please make sure all of your things have your name written on them!
