Academy Information

Round Hill Primary School has been invited to join a new multi-academy trust, which is being created by the White Hills Park Federation.

Earlier this year, following initial consideration of potential risks and benefits associated with the invitation, Round Hill governors decided all parents should have the opportunity to consider this issue for themselves.

As a result, the governors registered an interest in the proposal with the Department for Education (DfE) and we are now preparing for a period of engagement in which we will provide lots of information to parents (see links below) and gather your views and questions.

The engagement will begin with a Parent Event held on April 2, 2019, from 6pm to 8pm at Round Hill School.

There will be an introduction from Round Hill governors, explaining why we decided to register an interest in the proposal to join the multi-academy trust and a presentation from White Hills Park detailing their offer.  Following the presentations, we will invite parents to join small group discussions in which they will be able to explore the White Hills Park invitation in more detail.

In addition, you can submit your views via a questionnaire, which will be available online and offline from April 2, 2019, and all responses should be submitted on or before April 30, 2019.

All of the views and questions captured from correspondence, face-to-face meetings, the consultation event and questionnaires will be logged and published on the school website once it has been collated. As we log your questions, we will also be seeking answers, which we can share with you. We anticipate that this will take a number of weeks and we will be in touch once this process has been completed.

How will the views of parents and their questions be used?

All of this information will assist governors ahead of a meeting on June 18th 2019, when we will decide whether to decline the invitation from White Hills Park to join their multi-academy trust, or continue to the next stage, which would include a formal consultation on the issue with parents, staff and stakeholders.

You can access information about the invitation to join the multi-academy trust here:

We look forward to meeting many of you and reading your contributions in the coming weeks.
