Round Hill Bulletin - 21st December 2017

Round Hill Bulletin – 21st December 2017

The Round Hill Bulletin is designed to help disseminate important information in between monthly Newsletters.   A copy will be placed on the School Website.

Whole School Information

2017 KS2 Performance Tables

You may have noticed from the text sent to parents last week that the Department For Education (DfE) has released the KS2 2017 Performance Data.  You can find a letter to accompany the results and link on the school website Click here.

Single Equality Policy

We have updated our Single Equality Plan at the last meeting.  Click here.  As part of the above policy we would like to offer the opportunity for your comments to ensure that those who are affected by the policy are consulted and are involved in its review.  Please contact the school office if you have any comments to make by Friday 12th January 2018.

Reminder Christmas Jumper and / or Accessory Day - Friday 22nd December

We have had several fund raising events this year so we didn’t feel it was appropriate to have yet another one where we asked for money.  It would be a shame not to get involved and have some fun though, so if your child would like to wear a Christmas jumper or accessorise with some Christmas tinsel / antlers etc… then please feel free to do so on the last day of term, Friday 22nd December.

Internet safety

You will have hopefully received communications from school this week related to cyberbullying and internet safety.  Please click here to see the letters. If you would like help to close a YouTube account, then you can find instructions here.

I am organising an ‘Internet Safety for Parents’ event in the Spring term.  Watch this space for details.  If you have an expertise in this area and are willing to help then please do get in touch.

Winter PE Kits

We would just like to remind parents that we continue to teach outdoor PE lessons during the winter months. It is important that your child has appropriate clothing for these lessons as it can get very cold. This should consist of a warm long sleeve top, jogging bottoms or a tracksuit, plimsolls or trainers. This list can also be found in planners.  Please ensure your child has their outdoor PE kit when we return in January.

School Calendar – Diary Dates

The dates for the Spring term are now available to view on the school website Click here to view the school calendar.

Spring Term

We break up for two weeks on Friday 22nd December and come back to school for the Spring Term on Monday 8th January 2018.

Merry Christmas From The Staff

As mentioned in the December Newsletter, thank you for your help and support over the last term.  We hope you and your children have enjoyed the Christmas celebrations taking place in school.  We look forward to 2018, but for now, have a great Christmas from all the Staff and we wish you and your family a very happy New Year.

We look forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday 8th January 2018.
