Week 6: W/C 8th February 2021
Hello Bugs, Birds and Bears...
You are super busy learners aren’t you? We cannot believe our eyes when we look on Dojo and see all of you doing such amazing things! Not only your school learning but you’ve been busy baking, making and exercising in lots of different ways too. We are very lucky teachers and we are so very proud of you!
In our maths this week we are learning to compare numbers. We will learn which are the bigger and smaller numbers, order numbers, play games and of course watch some Numberblocks!
For writing week we are going to make our very own Zog books! You have done such a great job learning the ‘talk for writing’ version of Julia Donaldson’s story so now you can use what you have learned to make your book. It won’t be the same as Julia Donald’s because you will make it your own as you are the writer and illustrator this time!
This week for phonics we are learning more digraphs and practising reading and writing them. We are continuing to practise our good letter formation and using our phonics skills to read books on Oxford Owl.
In optional activities the focus is Chinese New Year – The Year of the Ox!
You can choose to do creative activities from cooking to making dragons. There are loads of ideas there for you to choose from.
Please find attached all of the home learning support resources that you will need for this week. Please do not hesitate to send any questions to us on Class Dojo if you need any further help or support.
We hope that you enjoy your weeks learning and then have a well deserved rest during the half term holiday!
The EYFS team.
