World Book Day

As Thursday 4th March is World Book Day, we have included a few additional activities below to help the children celebrate at home. There are a mixture of activities that can be completed on a device and some that can be printed off, if you would like to.

If you would like to do some fun reading activities online, the website https://authorfy.com/10minutechallenges/ has some great 10 minute reading challenges for children of all ages. Some great example of a challenge set is one by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet, authors of 'No-Bot', where you can create your own robot out of household items.  Kate Pankhurst, author of the 'Fantastically Great Women' series, has set a lovely illustration challenge in which you have to design an illustration of yourself as a character saving the planet. Think about your own interests, what element of climate change you would want to tackle, etc. and remember to be creative with your character design!

We hope you enjoy the activities and happy reading!
