Whole School Information
Welcome Back We hope you had a good half term break. We are all looking forward to an exciting half term with lots of events planned. Don’t forget to check the school calendar on our website for all of the events taking place. Click here to access the calendar.
Minutes from Governors’ Meeting A general reminder that all minutes from governor’s meetings can be found on the school website by clicking here. This includes the draft unconfirmed minutes of the Extraordinary Meeting held on 12th February. You may also find it useful, if you have not already read them, to read the letters from governors in the build up to and after the meeting. Governors will be in touch shortly with a date to meet for further discussion with parents.
All school letters that are issued are also put on the website. Click here to read all school letters. If you need the letters in another language, click on the letter on the right side of the webpage and use the translate tool. If you would like a paper copy of anything on our school website please get in touch.
sQuid Accounts Thank you to everyone who has helped to make sure that sQuid accounts are in credit at all times to save the school having to cover the cost of this. Just to re-iterate, by using the “auto top up” feature you can ensure your account does remain in credit at all times.
As previously mentioned, if at any point there are insufficient funds in your sQuid Account, we will not provide a hot school meal for your child and parents will be called and expected to bring a packed lunch in to school. If this causes you any concern, please come and speak to me.
Parents’ Forum Blog Thank you to everyone who attended the Spring Term Parents’ Forum meeting. The blog has been updated and can be found on the link below.
Advance notice that the Summer Term Parents’ Forum will be held on Wednesday 15th May at 2.00pm and on Thursday 16th May at 6.00pm. It would be great to see you there.
You can find out more about our termly Parents’ Forum by clicking here.
Staffing Changes – Otters Class Miss Emily Singh will be leaving Round Hill on 30th April to go travelling. She has been an inspiration to the class and will be sorely missed. That said we have successfully appointed another experienced teacher, Miss Maddy Back, to take over when we return after Easter. Miss Back will be writing to introduce herself to you shortly. We know the children will be pleased as several of them met her at her recent interview. In the coming weeks the teachers will work together to pass on the relevant information and ensure a smooth transition. Please do get in touch if you feel there are things we can do to help your child cope with the change.
Year 2 Camp – Change of Date Please note that the Year 2 Camp date has been changed to Thursday 11th July to better accommodate all of the other events that are happening in school. More details will follow shortly.
Class Photos A reminder that the photographers will be in school next Wednesday 6th March to take the class photos for Years 1 to 6. Foundation class photos will take place later in the school year on Wednesday 15th May.
Comic Relief - Cookies As mentioned in the February Newsletter we will be celebrating Comic Relief on Thursday 14th March due to Friday 15th March being an Inset Day. As part of the day, we will be selling cookies on the school playground at break time for 50p a cookie. Please send your child into school with 50p on the day if they would like to buy one.
