Round Hill Bulletin – 1st May 2019

The Round Hill Bulletin is designed to help disseminate important information in between monthly Newsletters.   A copy will be placed on the School Website.

                Whole School Information

Welcome Back  Welcome back to the summer term!  As usual, this summer will be another busy term and we have lots of fun activities planned.  Keep track of all of the dates by looking at our school calendar on our website.

Due to the Easter holidays, there will not be an April Newsletter.

Staffing Changes              Mrs Farrell-Kay will be leaving Round Hill at the end of the summer term to start work at a school in China.  She has always wanted to move to China and this is a wonderful opportunity for her and her family - she has been inspirational to the Kestrels class and will be sorely missed.  Ordinarily I would be letting you know about this when I have a replacement confirmed, however, I have taken the decision to let you know now as this information is potentially already in the public domain and I wanted you to hear it from us first.

I wrote to the parents in Foxes Class at the end of last week to let them know that it is with mixed emotions that Mr Abdy will be leaving Round Hill at the end of May 2019.  He has been promoted to the role of Head of Infant and Junior Sports at the High School. We wish him well in his new venture and he has already promised to keep in touch.

I have already advertised for new, experienced teachers and the interviews are scheduled for the end of May.   Given that Round Hill has an excellent and growing reputation, we are confident of being able to appoint in readiness for the new year in September 2019.

sQuid Accounts Please may I once again remind everyone to ensure that your sQuid accounts are in credit at all times if your child stays for a school dinner.

As previously mentioned, if at any point there are insufficient funds in your sQuid Account, we will not provide a hot school meal for your child and parents will be called and expected to bring a packed lunch in to school.   If this causes you any concern, please come and speak to me.

School Menu on Tues 7th May   Due to the Bank Holiday on Monday 6th May, the school menu on Tuesday 7th May will be Monday’s menu (vegetarian roll, gravy and jacket wedges). The normal menu will resume on Wednesday 8th May.
