New Intake - September 2021
Are You Thinking of Round Hill as Your Child's First School?
We understand that choosing the right school for your child is a very important decision. At Round Hill we are proud of the fact that we can provide the care and support your child needs along with opportunities to make the most of their talents in addition to academic success.
Due to the current restrictions, we are currently unable to offer prospective parents a chance to come in and see the school. The videos below give you a flavour of what happens when your child starts Round Hill and what the whole school looks like. If you would like any other details please, please do get in touch.
We look forward to welcoming all of our new families to school next September. Below you will find some information you need prior to your child starting school with us. Please read the 'Welcome Pack for Parents' which will help you to understand a little more about what we do.
The Welcome Pack provides practical day-to-day information to know what to expect as your child begins school. Please note that this is updated every year to reflect any changes that occur over time. It was accurate at the point of being published for new starters in 2020. In due course this will be updated taking into account the current pandemic, along with information and guidance as it is released from the Local Authority and Government.
You may be aware, that Round Hill Primary School is currently open to all children. We have a comprehensive risk assessment and social distancing policies are in place and we are following all aspects of the government guidelines.
We are already planning for September 2021 and looking at ways to ensure all children are able to access school. This includes our new Foundation children. However, it is impossible to confirm these plans at the moment as things change on a regular basis. Once school places have been allocated in April 2021, information from Pre-Schools will be shared with us and we will ask for some ‘All About Me’ information for your child that is invaluable to our teachers. You will also be asked to complete our electronic Pupil Personal Details Form.
Again, once places are allocated, we hope to sign all of our new families up to ‘Class Dojo’ . In the meantime, you can take a look at https://www.classdojo.com/ to familiarise yourself with things. This tool helps us to make contact with each parent so that we can begin to get to know each other.
Thank you for bearing with us. Your support is very much appreciated. Once we have more information we will be in touch.
We are really looking forward to meeting you!
We hope you enjoy our EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Welcome Video.
What About the Rest of School?
We believe that choosing a school is not just about EYFS as children stay with us for seven years. What is the rest of school like? Take a look at the following video to give you a quick flavour.
