Week Beginning 22nd June

Topic

For topic this week we want you to get creative and arty. Carrying on with our sports topic, we want you to create your own art piece which is sport themed.Choose your favourite sport and then make a piece of art that represents that sport. You could focus the art piece on a scene of your sport being played or a focus on the equipment  for example a football. You can create the art piece in any way you want, you might want to sketch, paint, make a collage or make a model, you can use what ever resources you have available at home. There is a document attached with some sport art examples to help give you inspiration. Be creative as you want!

We are looking forward to seeing what you make!

Activity 2

Character development: In the clip we see three characters, but we don’t know much about them! We need you to mindmap ideas for what the characters are like. We already know their appearance, so you need to come up with their personalities, names, what they are doing and why. Make sure you also include their feelings.

Activity 3

Using your character mindmaps, write a paragraph from the point of view of the smaller alien. Remember to include their thoughts and feelings. You may want to use this starter:

My spaceship exam was going so well! I had aced the flying, steering and orbiting parts, now I just needed to pass the abduction test...

Activity 4

Using your character mindmaps, write a paragraph from the point of view of the bigger alien. Remember to include their thoughts and feelings. You may want to use this starter:

My chair was very uncomfortable as I sat, silently watching the poor candidate flailing around...

Activity 5

Using your character mindmap, write a paragraph from the point of view of the man when he wakes up. Remember to include his thoughts and feelings. You may want to use this starter:
