Y5 & Y6 Alton Towers Letter

April 2019

Dear Parents & Carers

Year 5/6 trip to Alton Towers - Thursday 27th June

As part of our topic on Thrills and Spills, we will be taking Year 5 and 6 children to Alton Towers for a school trip. The trip will take place on Thursday 27th June. Alton Towers is a large theme park with a wide variety of rides and attractions.

The cost of the trip will be £19.90 per child. The cost of entry into Alton Towers is £12.50 per child and the cost of transport is £7.40 per child.  If your child has a Merlin card you will just need to pay for the cost of the transport.  Please notify us via the slip below.  Payment should be made through the sQuid system. The payment is voluntary, however if insufficient payments are made we will be unable to run the trip. If the cost of the trip is a concern for any family, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s teacher.

We are planning to leave school promptly at 9.15am and return to school by 4.30pm. Children should wear their uniform as usual and sensible shoes as there is a lot of walking involved. Children will also need a packed lunch, drink and a waterproof coat in case it rains. If your child is entitled to a free school lunch the kitchen are able to provide a packed lunch. Please indicate on the reply slip if you would like the kitchen to do so.
