Uniform

At Round Hill we follow a dress code, which allows a range of clothing options for your children to wear. Please check the recommended list of options and ensure that your child comes to school suitably dressed. Uniform is available either with our without the Round Hill school logo.

Sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan	plain red or navy.
Shirts	long or short sleeved collared or polo shirt. white, red or navy.
Trousers or shorts	grey or black no jeans
Skirt, leggings or dress	grey or black.
Summer dresses	checked or striped red or blue
Footwear	black sensible shoes (no high heels or open toed shoes). Non logo’d black trainers are allowed
Jewellery	only a watch and stud earrings if required. All stud earrings must be taped on a PE day or during any sporting activity. no nail varnish.
PE/Games	black shorts/skorts and white t-shirt. For outdoor games in cold weather - red /navy sweatshirt or hoody, black jogging bottoms or leggings. plimsolls or trainers.

Items of clothing for religious reasons are allowed.

Children in Foundation: Outdoor Play and Wild Area

The outdoor environment is a key part of life in Foundation and children have the opportunity to play and learn outside each day. We are fortunate to have access to the school’s wild area in addition to our outside classroom. We play outside whatever the weather, so it is important that your child has appropriate clothes in school each day. Wild area sessions will generally be on Tuesdays and we will spend most of the afternoon there.

Your child will need:

All year round

Wellington boots

Something to cover arms and legs (it can be prickly, sunny and very cold)

A waterproof coat and trousers

Warm weather

Suntan lotion (the easiest solution is the long lasting type that you can apply before school)

A sunhat (ESSENTIAL)

Cold weather

Warm layers

A woolly hat

Gloves

Scarf

It is a good idea to provide a spare pair of pants, trousers and socks, to be kept on your child’s peg, as many children tend to get very wet and dirty outside!
